Sherbet

Today my class and I made Sherbet. It was very challenging because there were lots of ingredients that balanced the flavor out, so you had to get it just right. At first, we had to try all the ingredients by themselves so we would know how much we would need. There was icing sugar, baking soda, citric acid, and tartaric acid. Overall this was a very successful day. My group made a very nice Sherbet, It was very tasty.

Special Characters Prayers

Special Characters did prayers this morning. The focus was on advent. Since Christmas is coming, the Catholic community is starting to celebrate the delivery of Jesus. This is a very important celebration in the Catholic community because Christmas marks the day Jesus was born. We all can't wait for Christmas as it is the day Jesus was born!

Potato Guns 2

Today we attempted Potato Guns again. Sometimes they worked but other times they failed. The other time I posted about this we had bad straws and strong potatoes and this time we had strong straws and soft potatoes. I believe it would have worked if we had the best of all the equipment.

Why Celebrities should have more privacy rights.

How would you feel if your phone number was put up on the internet?. What would you do if walking down the road only to find people screaming taking photos of you?. This is one of the scenarios that celebrities go through every day, even if it is on a trip to the pools or a walk with your dog, you will instantly make headlines in a magazine or the news! So how would you feel? What would you do if this happens to you?

There was a case in America when some YouTubers were moving house.
So their house was posted up on the internet for sale.
One week later fans started to go to the YouTubers house
(that they still lived in at the time) and stole things from them,
videoing them privately and posting it on social media!
This got out of hand as they were trespassing, breaking and entering and more!
So what would you do? How would you feel?
This is just one example of an invasion of privacy.

Journalists write what is sold to them.
Say I sold them a story on Taylor Swift and how she died and it was really juicy.
That would write about because it’s unthinkable, it will draw in the super fans in.
Its a cycle, we buy the magazines the place you buy the magazines from buying more of
the brand and the magazines get money, lots and lots of money.

Did you hear that Taylor Swift is pregnant?
Did you know that Oprah and Ellen got into a fight?
Well, these are just some of the headlines that appear in daily magazines.
Like come on these are just hoxes that is not true.
Some things in magazines are true but most of the headlines are luring you into reading them,
it’s like a kid with lollies really.
These uncivilized people make up lies about celebrities to either drag them down or get better ratings! Isn't that astonishing!

This is just wrong. This should not be tolerated! How would you feel to have a total invasion
of privacy? I mean, of course, they are beautiful beings that we may idol and look up to,
but that is still no reason to stalk them and spread rumors about them!
This is all wrong, join me in my fight to earn these miraculous human beings some privacy!

Lately, we have been learning about persuasive writing. This is my persuasive writing, It is about how Calebrities should have more privacy rights.

3-D Shapes

Lately, we have been learning about 3-D shapes. There was a selection of 3-D shapes we could make. I made one cube and one cone. This was really fun because we could decorate them, and we also got to transform them into the shape. This was a really fun project.

Passports

Our school does these really awesome topic activities. it is called a passport. On the passport, there are so many different activities about NZ music month. By the end of next week, we need to have 200 points. I love the Passports they are really fun!!

Potato Guns

Today we made potato guns. All the things we need was potatoes, wooden skewers, and Straws. However, some of our necessities needed to be upgraded because they were not good enough. One, The straws were a very thin plastic and always crinkled when you tried to get the potato in it. So we thought that we could use metal straws. The potatoes were way to hard so we could have boiled them to make it softer. Other than that it was a really fun experiment.
